Knocksheet

A knocksheet is the working list of addresses a canvasser or field rep works through on a shift, with a result recorded against each one as they go.

What's on it

At minimum: the address, the postcode, and a result, such as answered, callback, not interested, or signed up. A good knocksheet also records who logged the result and when, and leaves room for a short note. Teams working on solar, insulation, or glazing often add property data too: EPC rating, wall type, built form, so a rep knows what they're walking into before they knock.

Paper and spreadsheets vs a live one

A paper knocksheet, or one rebuilt in a spreadsheet each week, can only show what happened after the fact, and only if nothing gets lost along the way. A live, shared knocksheet shows a manager coverage as it happens: which addresses are done, which are outstanding, and which have gone unanswered more than once.
